Not long before this video was shot my dad was down there for work, he visited the glassier quite a few times while there, he looked a little pale after seeing this video.
An underwater volcano has been erupting in Tonga for a few days now, soppossidly there's no danger to there's no danger to the locals. I certainly hope so, I know a few people living in Tonga at the moment.
Here's video of some of the underwater volcanoes activity.
luckily no one was hurt by this eruption at Masaya Volcano in Nicaragua, it supposedly spews that stuff out all the time, knowing that I wouldn't tour there.
Thought there's another reason I posted the video, can anyone else see all kinds of cool shapes in the plume of smoke, I did and it was awesome.
Do planes have some kind of anti lightning device installed? My understanding from movies is that when lighting strikes a plane it explodes and Bruce Willis jumps out.
Not so in this video, a huge bolt of lightning hits what looks like a big plane, the plane just carries on its way.
What's strange is that they didn't run away, incredibly dangerous, but if they had we wouldn't have this video of huge chunks of ice falling from the sky or of a building or something.
Don't get to many lightning storms in my part of the world, but I always love it when we do, have been trying to get lightning caught on video for ages and a couple months back I filmed my first footage.
The video just below though is not my own and I hope I never to get this close to lightning. I'd say the the lightning in this video strikes a tree about 20 meters away from the person filming and it is pretty spectacular.
Lightning strikes tree
The next video is my own, I was filming police cars on the highway across the harbour from my house during a power outage, I think I was lucky to catch this at all, I didn't actually notice the there was a lightning strike while I was filming, definitely a one time moment, for me anyway.
I don't know about the people fiming this incredible tornado caught on tape, but I would gotten my bum out of there. Probably storm chasers and the footage they got is down right awesome.
